Students with disabilities and computer technology
I found this article interesting because as future educators we need to be aware of how technology can help our students to reach their potential. They can communicate, participate and achieve academic and personal goals.
I completely agree with your summary...as a future special education teacher I feel we as educators need to be sensitive to the needs of both general education students and special education students, especially in the computer technology field.
As we witnessed from the Avon Lake example, there are ways for disabled students to use technology that go way beyond just learning in the classroom! The "connect" to the classroom socially is also important!
Welcome to our class blog for EDFN 586: Effective Instruction. I hope you find this form of discussion and sharing ideas enjoyable, enriching, and enlivening. Let's "dive in!"
