After drawing a blank for this week's assignment , I decided I needed a broader prospective and in the spirit of technology I goggled in "Learning by Doing". The results of this search truly inspired me and I have to admit to a greater appreciation for this approach and overall attitude in the classroom as well as, a means of assessment. Here are some thoughts for inside and outside the classroom:

"One must learn by doing things, for though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try." (Aristotle)

I really liked how you incorporated the opinions and quotes from websites into your blog. I too have trouble sometimes getting an idea together to write about in the reflections, and I think that if I find I have that problem again, I may use your idea. It was interesting to read comparable quotes to the one we wrote about.

(Engineers for Education) Again, a perfect tie-in with the lecture; it emphasizes the role of metacgnition in learning (i.e., learning how we learn is what makes us true learners.)

I enjoyed reading all quotes, I definetely agree with all of them. We can learn as much theory as we decide but it is by doing how we are going to learn. We also need self-assessment as Dr. Scott mentioned, through it we can create new ways to improve our instruction.
